mission of
Variety WA
is: To improve the quality of life of Western Australia’s
sick, disadvantaged and special needs children while keeping
the fun in fundraising.
Variety International is the world’s leading children’s
charity having raised more than $1.5 billion internationally
and $100 million nationally for our sick, disadvantaged and
special needs children.
From its modest beginning as a regional arm of Variety Australia,
Variety WA has grown into an outstanding organization and
in over 25 years Variety WA has raised more than $14 million
dollars net, with over 2000 members and supporters all committed
to changing the lives of WA’s special children. Variety
is continually working towards even greater fundraising success
in the years to come.
Every year Variety WA grants more than $1 million worth of
vital equipment and services to improve the lives of children
throughout WA. Variety WA operates on one of the lowest charity
administration rates, ensuring that funds are directed to
where they are needed most – OUR CHILDREN. The Variety
WA Charter also dictates that all funds must be spent within
the state in which they were raised, in the year they were
granted.
Variety is known as an umbrella charity, because it supports
a wide range of major projects and initiatives by granting
funds to other children’s charities and organizations.
At the same time, Variety also grants vital equipment and
services directly to individual children in need.
